Mission
Little Geeks is a philanthropic organization and registered Canadian charity that collects, refurbishes and re-distributes donated computers to children in need. These computers are given free of charge for use in the home, school or communities. The program is currently based in the Greater Toronto Area with plans for expansion across Canada in the longer term.
Our mission is to provide free computing technology to children who's families cannot afford this critical infrastructure on their own. These children often struggle in school because they do not have the necessary tools (unlike children in more affluent families) to do their homework, research, develop general computer skills, engage in social media and school projects. Indeed, with out the ability to edit and re-write their homework, these kids miss out on critical thinking elements of the education process. By providing this access to technology, Little Geeks provides children with the tools necessary in today's world to improve their grades and achieve greater confidence with technology.
Since 2007, we have given more than 1000 computers away to 1000 children and their families
